As a writer you tend to see(k) stories all around you. And you would go to several lengths in order to get to those stories and to find out more about these stories in particular.

Now, don’t get me wrong – I am not some kind of a person who thrives on gossip – it’s just that anything and everything can be fodder for the story-mill.

So, kinda like a cow, I tend to eat all that I can (just so we are clear – we are talking about my mind here), and then store it in me, just so that I can regurgitate the stuff in there. You never know what all that ‘chewing the cud’ business might bring…a story may just be brewing in there, and with all this mixing around, you never quite know what may turn up!

And why do I do all that? Well, that one is easy to answer – because all the people around me make it that much easier, that’s why!!!

Well. Also, I read somewhere that the best source of inspiration is all around you – so keep your eyes and ears open – you never know what story you may just bump into…

So, I pretty much keep all my options open at all times!!

Quick Writerly Tip: Carry a notebook and pen with you at all times, Or if you are that way inclined, carry a digital voice recorder with you. This way, if you have any fresh ideas, inspirations, thoughts and what-not to record, you can do that right away!!
